The first of the LIFE Series was christened LIFE 2020 with a beautiful majestic Santa Maria blue aquamarine (86.57ct) at the centre, between a pair of wings expressive in both fragility and vulnerability; delicate broken wings which symbolize the anguish and fear which have been constant companions in many people’s lives during the pandemic’s initial months. The blue rectangular aquamarine limpid color with a tincture of grey transparency symbolizes harmony, the calm and the energy of the sea, bringing protection to the wearer.

Inner courage and hope are feelings which come to mind as the delicate hand carved feathers attached to the radius and ulna move under a finger’s touch, allowing the wearer to feel rather than see the feathers’ move and to hear the invisible sound of the wings.
