The third brooch, LIFE 2022 is set with a gently oval-cut emerald (71.93ct), pale, majestic with a presence that cannot be ignored, upon seeing the emerald the first impression is of an infinite pool of watery green, crystal-clear transparency, magically free from any inclusions bar a healing fracture which is miraculously echoed in the triangular facets of the gemstone.

The emerald symbolises hope, it soars up out of the ashes of the past few years, battered but upright, symbolising the surge of optimism it possesses as it reaches for the future and opportunities to come. The tattered diamond wings are strong ready to stretch out, ready to fly.
