During a stay in Florence, Elsa wandered into the courtyard of an old castle and came upon three irises, one white, one black, one violet, swaying in a strong wind. The colors, the movement, the moment itself moved her instantly. Fitting, perhaps, in a city that has taken the iris as its emblem for centuries. This piece was born from that encounter.

The wind gave the irises their living grace, and set their colors aglow. To carry that energy, Elsa turned to another of nature's rare wonders: natural fancy-color diamonds in green, yellow, and blue, each adding its own note of artistry to the piece.
